Jed Lipsky spent much of his childhood on the slopes of Mount Mansfield and always dreamed of one day living in Stowe. When a landmark inn, formerly the Yodler, came on the market, Jed and his wife, Annika, decided it was now or never to move their three sons from the Berkshires. Both parents felt strongly Stowe would be the perfect community to raise their family.
Neither Jed or Annika are innkeepers by trade, but both are natural hosts, gracious, and gregarious. Annika is a technical designer in the fashion industry, as well as an avid equestrian. Jed, whose lifelong business has been contract logging, also flies planes in the far reaches of the world for conservation and humanitarian efforts. Volunteering for Wings of America, Conservation International and National Geographic, Jed has flown missions to Gabon, Angola, Namibia, the Congo, and most recently, Botswana on a research project called "Elephants without Borders".
Although Jed still maintains his logging business and continues to fly, purchasing the Inn has been a grounding experience. It was also an eye-opener as the inn was in need of major restoration. With the restoration work now behind them, both Annika and Jed look forward to welcoming guests to their new home.
